I'm taking it easy this weekend. Going swimming. Doing a lot of reading. Waiting for the landlord to figure out why the dryer keeps blowing fuses, while hoping I have enough clean clothes to get through the next week.

CISPA is back with a new name: "CISA"
"This time, CISA is even worse than CISPA. The bill would give the NSA even more authority to access our data and force companies to fork over private data without a search warrant."

Twice, we've made it very clear that we don't want CISPA - we don't want the NSA violating our privacy. They just won't leave it alone. Now they're back with an even broader bill based on the same idea - but they've changed the name slightly, so maybe we won't realize it's CISPA all over again.

Tell Congress we don't want CISA, either!

Surprise, Surprise...

Well, okay, it wasn't really a surprise.

Although it says 90%, after looking at the answers, there was only one issue we actually disagreed on, and that's one where my opinion is complicated. So, I suppose I have a bumper sticker to buy? (And maybe a coffee mug...)

I'm Back...

Sorry I've been absent, guys. Stupid migraine...

First of all - Hey FCC, Let's Talk About Net Neutrality! "FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler wants to allow discrimination online — even though millions of people have told the FCC to protect real Net Neutrality.  The agency will vote on the chairman's plan by the end of the year, and we need to be sure the FCC is listening to the people it's supposed to represent.  It's been more than five years since all five FCC commissioners have left Washington in an official capacity to hear from real people. We need them to visit our communities for public hearings on Wheeler’s proposal.  Help Us Break the FCC Out of the Washington Bubble. Invite the FCC to Your Community!"
